Traditionally "feminine" handicrafts (embroidery, knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, etc.) have been at the center of a huge feminist rethinking since the 1970s. From activities considered "decorative," "domestic," or "minor," they have become political tools, artistic languages, and practices of resistance.
It's not delicacy. It's not a hobby. It's not cute.
It's work, vision, expertise built over time, entrepreneurial risk.
Calling it "cute" is a way of belittling it.
We make it visible.
And we call it work.

March 8 | Upcycling Workshop – I can make myself flowers
Micaela Sciarretta – Pelo Rugs
Join TA-DAAN and Pelo Rugs for an upcycling workshop in Milan's Certosa District on International Women's Day. In this creative workshop, you will make your own bouquet of "hair flowers." A light-hearted and playful workshop on the creative reuse of scrap yarns. You will learn simple techniques for making colorful flowers with leftover yarn and a few simple tools, in a guided step-by-step workshop. At the end of the morning together, you will take home vibrant, everlasting flowers created by you that will brighten up a corner of your home! This workshop is designed for adults, but is also suitable for children (aged 6 and up) accompanied by their parents.
