A painting exhibition exploring matter, memory, and vision

From January 30 to February 1, 2026, the Galleria Manifatture Artigiane Certosa will host "Ciò che resta, ciò che appare" (What remains, what appears), a solo exhibition by painter Francisco Estrada Lauret.

THE EXHIBITION
The exhibition presents two complementary pictorial cycles, one dedicated to objects and their silent presence, in which matter preserves and recounts traces of human experience, and the other focused on figures, understood as light apparitions suspended between memory and vision.
Fragments, surfaces, and everyday objects interact with evanescent images inspired by ancient myths, giving rise to a comparison between what remains and what emerges, between the concreteness of matter and the fragility of the image.

THE ARTIST
Francisco Estrada Lauret (1949) pursues an intense pictorial research based on an in-depth dialogue with the tradition of the great masters of art history. His work stems from a rigorous study of classical techniques, which the artist reworks and renews through continuous experimentation. In this balance between memory and innovation, painting becomes for Francisco an open and constantly evolving space for research. He lives and works in Milan.

The exhibition is open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
We look forward to seeing you at Via Ludovico di Breme 79!
